Vacation Outfit

Soon I will be flying to Idaho to hit the slopes and attempt snowboarding again. If I had some extra money, I would go buy this outfit for my trip to the snowy weather.

Living in Southern California my whole life, it's hard to pack for these kinds of trips, because we don't have the appropriate clothing. Sure I have big water proof jackets, but in regards to shoes, I have mostly flats, sandals, and dress boots.

For those of you who live where it snows, do you have any advice on what to bring for someone like me who thinks 50 degrees is cold! I would appreciate it!

By the way, I'm in love with that bag and yellow scarf!

For those of you who are new readers, you may not know that I'm working towards a masters degree in school psychology. This September I start my 3rd year of the program which is when I must complete the 1200 internship hours required for the degree. I will be working under the supervision of a school psychologist in the schools full time (but not being paid, boo!)

I'm really excited about this chance to get more hands on experience, and I'm also excited about possibly getting some new clothes for the job. I want some sophisticated yet comfortable outfits that I can wear as I'm testing students, going to meetings, walking around the campus, and sitting at a computer writing reports. Here's an idea of a dress outfit I would love to have. I already have similar boots and belt, so it wouldn't be hard to put this outfit together.

Now I just have to convince my husband to let me go on a shopping spree!
