Horseback riding

I'm doing something I've always wanted to do: I'm learning how to ride a horse. Saturday was my first day of a 6 week course. It was a little scary since they just put us on the horses without really telling us what to do first, but I guess that's how you learn. This is the horse I rode.

It's a little confusing at first in learning how to direct the horse. You use your right leg to turn left and your left leg to turn right. I'm excited to learn more! It the dream of my husband and I to have horses some day.

As many of you have noticed, I have not been blogging much. I feel like I'm in a blogging rut and lack the motivation. When you find yourself not having the motivation to blog, what do you do to get back that motivation? I could really use any advice! Thanks!

  1. That sounds pretty confusing. How brave of you to conquer horse riding! I wish I was brave enough. I know I did it when I was little, but the horse took off running with me on it. Never been a fan ever since haha.

When I find myself not motivated to blog, I take lots of pictures. Or if I feel like I don't have anything interesting to say, I kind of just blog about my day, as boring as it may sound. Just the fact that I'm thinking of things to say leads to more creative ideas.

  2. Awesome! I'm no stranger to horses or mules, but they make me nervous somtimes because I was bucked when I was younger. The poor mule had a very long day and he was way too tired for more riding.
That is such a pretty horse! Good luck with your lessons. I bet you will do great!

  3. Oh brave one! I've never ridden a horse.. They are BEAUTIFULLLL creatures though! Hope you take more pictures of them! About your blog motivation question...Hmm...I've felt like that...but usually I surf the internet (why do they call it web surfing anyway???) until I come across something inspiring...could be a photo or another blogger's post...That helps get the creative juices flowing...

  4. I love anything and everything to do with horses. I am sorry you are in a blogging rut. I always think of what I love and look them up on the internet, and it seems to pull me though those rough patches.

  5. That looks like so much fun! I'm suddenly more motivated because I did some redesigning and figuring out a better way to format my photos... I guess just learning something I didn't know before pushed me forward a little. Good luck! <3

  7. I think it is so cool you are doing this! I use to ride when I was little, for some reason I was always afraid to be on a horse. I think I still am haha :)
