My First Berry Pie

Using fresh berries from my grandmother's berry bush, I attempted my first berry pie from scratch. I made the crust too! I think it turned out pretty well.

Sprinkling cinnamon on the top is delicious!

I must share glorious, fantastic news (well at least to me)

This lady is the fridge we were given 3 years ago from a family member. It's tiny and sometimes doesn't work well. Good news.......we finally were able to buy a new fridge!!!!

Isn't she humongous and beautiful!!! It's like a dream come true for me to have a nice fridge. The majority of the items in our old fridge that took up most of the space, fits into the door shelves on the new one. We got it in perfect time for all our summer BBQs. I love that the freezer is on the bottom. No more squatting down to get my vegetables from the drawer that was broken.

woo!!

I'm still digging the ABBA. Happy Friday!!

  1. Oh my gosh! Can we be best friends please!?? I love everything about this post.. Firstly, I've been wanting to make a berry pie foreversss and this looks perfect! Was it amazing? Secondly, I need a new fridge sooo bad! We got a super tiny fridge cause our first home was a studio and we needed to get the smallest fridge in history to fit in the space.. Now that we have room, we still have that tiny thing and it drives me a little crazy cause it's always jam packed and I can never find anything. I really want to get a new fridge by the end of the year..All our drinks are always room temp cause they don't fit.. Dumb thing.. lol Actually I'm super grateful to have a running fridge..It works well even though it's small... And lastly.. I love Abba! (Do you have FB btw?) Just last week I was watching a ton of their videos and posting screen shots on FB. They're amazing! I truly think those ladies are the best singers ever.. and their songwriting skills are superb! Okay.. well.. I think that's the longest comment I've ever left you.. sorry.. Hope I didn't overwhelm! lol Have a great weekend B!

  7. The pie looks delicious! There are some blackberries growing in my front yard that I want to use for a baking project. Maybe I'll try a pie too.
