True Life Tales

I'm lying on the bed that pulls out from our couch in the living room. My husband likes to pull it out sometimes when his back is hurting. His back was injured when he was in Iraq and an IED exploded right next to him, but that's another story.

He's sleeping next to me (and slightly snoring) as I write these words and listening to Christmas music on Pandora (I don't care if it's still November!)

Today I spent 2 hours assessing a really sweet student. I test students to see if they are eligible for special education, giving them cognitive test and processing tests. The processing test measure their auditory skills, visual skills, and memory/learning abilities. It can be very time consuming, but that's why the law gives us 60 days to complete everything. Once the testing is done, I have to write a report. I'm only in my 3rd month of the internship, so still takes me many hours to write the reports. I think 6 pages was the shortest report I've written so far. It depends on the student.

Next week I have the whole week off (perks of working at a school!) and will be visiting family for Thanksgiving. I'm excited for that :)

It's bed time for me. Hope you all are having a good week.

Happy birthday to my little sis!
