103 Degrees

Monday we had some unexpected rain and thunder storm. Today we had rain, heat, and humidity. Just weird weather for San Diego. We don't have air conditioning in our house, so we decided to go to a movie and enjoy their AC. The picture above was taken at 4:30pm. It gets hot here, but this is the highest it's been this summer.

When we pulled into the parking lot of the movie theater, we saw two fire trucks, one with a huge American Flag attached to the ladder. It was such a beautiful sight, I had to snap some pictures. I'm not sure what they were doing, but I'm think it has to do with 9/11 arriving in a few days. Just look at the size of that thing compared to the car driving by!

After the movie the temperature had only dropped a few degrees and neither us wanted to cook in our hot kitchen, so we stopped for delicious sushi. A beautiful sunset had me wishing the sun would come back tomorrow with cool weather.

Tomorrow I officially start my first day at a school site for my internship. I'm a little anxious, but not too nervous. I've been ready for this next chapter for a long time. The great thing about being in my internship is that I only have to go to class every other Wednesday and we are not given much homework.

Hope you all are having a great week!
