Melody Monday

Before we get into some awesome music, go check out the Guest Post I did about thrifting at Janette the Jongleur.

I wanted to share another genre of music that is really important to me. I have been listening to classical music since I was really young. I remember watching orchestras when they play on PBS. There's just something about that kind of music that I've always connected to. I've been playing the piano since I was 6 or 7 and classical music has always been my favorite to play.

Here are some of the songs I play on the piano.

Philip Glass- Morning Passages (The Hours Soundtrack)

My favorite composer!! Chopin- Fantasie Impromptu

Chopin- Ballade No.1 in G minor

Beethoven- Moonlight Sonata

Beethoven- Fur Elise

Some of the more difficult ones I'm still working on, but I really love playing the piano. It's hard to explain, but it's like my emotions flow through my finger tips, out through the music as I'm playing. I think I'm going to go play right now before I have to leave for class tonight.

How about you? Do you play an instrument? If you don't, which one would you want to play?
Have a great night!

  2. I love classical music too! ♥ I have played the piano since I was around 6 or 7 too, and I played the viola from age 11 to 18 :) I really really need to play them, it has been years since I have played either instrument! Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise are some of my favorites to play! I totally get what you mean when you say that when you are playing the piano it feels like your emotions are flowing through your finger tips. Playing music has such an awesome feeling to it. ♥
